I’ve been going over a lot of job search websites this whole month of September. Some of the more interesting ones for Kuwait are bayt.com and q8cv.com. I tried to focus on getting my resume right and keeping it simple. Here is how I think a resume should be broken down…

1) Name and contact information (including address, phone & email).

2) Job History. List all your previous jobs in reverse chronological order specifying job title, company, location and dates. Put in a brief description of your role and then a list of achievements.

3) Education and certification. List out in reverse chronological order all relevant certifications and academic achievements.

4) Misc info. Here you can put in your date of birth, marital status, hobbies and other stuff that might come in handy for the hr department.

The most important thing is to be honest about what you put in your resume.
