Was at Jarir yesterday and look what I found. Just in case you didn’t know, Tagalog is the language spoken in the Philipines.

An interesting thing I noticed is… “Hindi” means No. Hindi mean Indian in Arabic. And Hindi in India is the national language. “Hindi maari” in Tagalog means “No Way” and in India it would mean something like “Beat Hindi” (beat as in thrash).

Chapter 12, lovers’ language, is where it gets interesting. Most of it may seem offensive to readers but it may be a good thing to note that “tumbong” is buttocks and “Mahal kita” is “I love you”. If you are brave enough try saying “Halikan mo ako” to a Philipinoe before you find out what it means ;)
