Over the last few years we have seen some major changes to the travel industry.
The arrival of numerous low cost carriers has given state carriers a run for their money. Its also made air travel more affordable for the middle to low income groups.
With the discontinuation of commisions to travel agencies, most people who don’t have access to online booking tools or just don’t know how to go online, can now get more competitive fares at their local friendly agent desks.
Of late most of the state carriers have started accepting online bookings. This means they can now offer their fares (usually special discounted “web fares”) to travellers thus eliminating the need for Travel Agents.
So now that you can book your travel online at anytime of the day or night, where do you prefer to book it? I guess the options would be:
I usually check with my Travel Agent first. As a second option I move to Low Cost carrier websites. What about you?
