I was thinking about this a while back.

For most part of the year in Kuwait, if you turn on the tap labelled “Cold”, the water is usually pretty hot. Reason being that the water comes from the tanks above the building and those are exposed to our 45 to 55 degree climate, thus keeping our “cold” water warm all the time!

Now the amazing thing is that turning on the “Hot” water tap, usually results in cold water! Actually, not always, but we rarely leave the boiler on during summer and since the air conditioning runs between  18-22 the whole day, the boiler and the water in it is kept cool.

This could easily confuse visitors from out of town! I guess the best solution is to have taps with switchable labels. :)
