on travel technology …and everything else
Yeah! That’s how its served. All dishes in a big steel thingy and we all sit on them cushions on the floor. The place isn’t that fancy looking but it was highly recommended for authentic Omani food. Amazingly each family gets their own room to eat in.
We kept the meal simple. We ordered a hommus, Marak Samak (King Fish curry) and a Harees Dijaj (pressurized Chicken and Wheat). The fish was amazing. The hommus was so so and the Harees, well, I guess you need to get used to eating something that heavy to appreciate it!
It was a nice experience, but it looks like we’ll stick to continental for the rest of the trip.
