on travel technology, hacking and everything else

Over the last 3 weeks I’ve been driving back from work much earlier (3pm) due to Ramadan. This has been good for my tummy but painful on my hands. By the time I get to the car, its super hot. The door handles, the steering wheel and even the gear box are burning hot …literally. And they all cool down only after like 10-15 mins of air conditioning, by which time I could beat the traffic and reach home.
I was at Daiso (City Center) the other day when I came across a rack of driving gloves. I decided to pick one up and give it a try. Got me a nice black pair with some sort of grip surface for just 600 fils. I think everyone who drives in the Kuwaiti heat needs to wear a pair of these.
Besides shielding my skin from the hot steering wheel surface, the gloves provide a much better grip. They also look cool and invite a lot of stares from neighboring cars at signal stops.
