Ro and I had a great time this weekend at the Ambassadors of Comedy show. We laughed so hard that at times our stomachs started to hurt! The show was organized very well.

Nitin, Dean & Aaron were great. Nitin hit home with more Middle East material. Both the Americans had a balance of humor between American politics (President Bush of course) and their usual Arab terrorist angle.

For most of us, Ashfaq, the emcee was probably the funniest of the lot. The crowds went crazy for him every time he came on stage. Could have either been his shiny silver jacket or that accent he was talking in!

You can just tell how frustrated the guy who painted the sign must have been. Still he was polite enough to add a “please” in there!

Actually, I’m not sure if the “For God Sake” was painted on much later!

This is the first time I’ve come across this song. Its funny and has Kuwait mentioned in the lyrics. The lyrics are below.

This MIA Bad Girls video was inspired by all those Arab drifting videos on YouTube. I like it. Especially the  skating bit.

Maybe someone will shoot a similar video in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. I was there last week for some work on my car and local drifters were in action there. Seems they still drift there the whole day long. I thought they had stopped it since there are now like half a dozen schools in that area.

Well, good thing I’m not! I took this Asshole Rating Self-Exam test online and came up with a score of 3.  As funny as this test sounds, I think most companies should encourage all their staff to take this test yearly. It makes you think about how you behave and how people might perceive you to be an Asshole!

Looks like the best time to work is around 10am in the morning and then between 2pm to 4pm. So probably about 4 hours a day. So now all your slackers who keep getting caught “wasting time” on Facebook and Youtube at the office have a valid scientific reasoning.

This is a cool recording of the string oscillations from inside a guitar. Will try this on Ro’s guitar sometime this week.

I wonder if we can record a similar oscillation effect from a piano. There would be a lot more strings involved.

So, what is your preference when it comes to facial hair…

1) The jungle of beard covering my face man

2) The baby face everyday clean shaven guy

3) The well trimmed and styled piece of beard somewhere on my face dude

4) I’ll shave once or twice a week (if I’m in the mood) fellow – BTW, this is me

We all know that sitting at a 135 degree angle is the best position since it relieves the stress on your back.

Well it seems that sitting more than 6 hours a day makes you 40% more likelier to die within 15 years than others who sit less than 3. Even if you exercise! This is the best reason I can find to avoid the daily long and boring meetings.

I came across this very interesting “Insights for Audience” section on YouTube.

Basically it’s an interactive dashboard where you can query on gender, age, location and interests and then interactively drill down and play with the data. Very cool indeed. I guess its always good to know what other people like you are looking for on the net.

Too bad they don’t have any Middle East countries to query on. Or maybe they don’t have a good audience here since YouTube is banned in most offices …just like mine.
