This was my first attempt at coin stacking. Balancing those coins into a bridge structure is not an easy task. I’d say about 40 attempts before the damn thing stood still. Try it out using 10 and 20 fils coins. Its easier using the bigger coins to construct the bridge. I got carried away and [...]
Looks familiar? Any guesses? And its all balanced on a one 100 fils coin at the bottom. Tried making a curved pyramid too, again balanced the whole thing on a single 100 fils coin.
Check out this video and watch it all the way to the end. Its amazing when the structure is lit up. Looks like the Hamra Tower towards the end. I’m going to need a lot more coins to construct something this big.
Here is my attempt at putting up a Liberation Tower replica using about 5kd worth of coins lying around the house. Balancing coins is not as easy as you would think. Its more like a leaning tower of Kuwait than anything else. Here is a close up… Initial construction. I believe this is more or [...]
On Friday I decided to gather all the coins lying around the house. KWD 5.355 total …I’m rich!!! What do I do with all these coins? Ice cream topped the list as usual. But then a better idea struck. Coin stacking. I’m gonna try stacking these coins and build some sort of replica monument or [...]
I have this strange habit of stacking empty water bottles. I’ve managed to balance and stack up 4 bottles max to date. The round Aquagulf bottles are better than those square Rawdatain ones. The image to the right shows two bottles balanced on my wife’s knee. The stuff she has to put up with! I [...]
I’ve been using this service since last year. Its real cool. Pick a favorite song or artist and it finds songs and artists with similar styles. Its very interesting the way they pick out your type of music. I’d say it does a 80% match. Very neat!
Any developer who has worked with me will tell you that I’m a real fussy fellow when it comes to keeping the code clear and readable. But when it comes to the HTML code its a different story. I love it compressed. No extra lines and no extra white-space. The thing is that extra white-space, [...]
I’ve had this site running for a while. It gets a lotta visitors and eats a ton of bandwidth. Seems to be pretty popular with Goan in the UK and States. I need to revamp this site one of these days, mostly the design I guess. Maybe some ads too. I have to add a [...]
